- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★Overall experience was one of the best stays I've had in Sydney. The whole time was a fluid transition from check-in to bar, to room to breakfast and the value for the experience was exceptional. Staff made it inviting and the atmosphere is something to beat. The room, while a bit small was neat and unique, equipped with smart accessories and complimentary mini bar. The following mornings breakfast buffet was basic but food was quality. - ★ ★ ★ ★ ★My husband and I stayed at Ovolo for the weekend while we visited the Good Food & Wine Show in Sydney. The hotel is in an awesome location, within minutes walk of Harbourside and the ICC, but it's the actual hotel that blows your socks off. They've left no detail to chance in the design, including little soccer fields at the bottom of the lift well. The rooms are funky, clean, well stocked (including a hair tie with the shower cap - thank you for that!) and they have proper shower heads, not just the crappy water saving ones you usually see in hotels. You get free mini bar, free drinks at happy hour and free breakfast. The staff are really friendly and look like they really enjoy working there. - ★ ★ ★ ★ ★This hotel is hip and fresh. Plenty of quirky little cultural and linguistic nuisances. (the "please make up room" sign for the door says "Go ahead. Make my bed.") Room decor is original, bathrooms have space and are modern. Mini bar drinks are complimentary. Staff at the front desk and restaurant-bar are friendly and helpful. Check out the floor under the elevators. *There was a booking error from the company and on Ovolo's end this was handled very professionally and I appreciated it very much.
